Soccer Game Preview: Northwest Guilford vs. South Point

The Northwest Guilford Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the South Point Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northwest Guilford's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over South Iredell.

Northwest Guilford hit South Iredell with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Morgan Stallings (2), Ava Franklin, and Rory Partyka.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Point). They put the hurt on Crest with a sharp 9-0 win on Tuesday. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

South Point's win bumped their record up to 2-0-2. As for Northwest Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0-2.
