Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Weslaco East). Everything went their way against the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies on Friday as the Weslaco East Wildcats made off with  a  19-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
Weslaco East let  Adrian Guzman and  James Abrego run wild. Guzman  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances, while  Abrego  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Guzman a new career-high in  RBI (two).  Brian Perez also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Weslaco East was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Juarez-Lincoln only posted a  batting average of  .267.
Weslaco East's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Looking ahead,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as  the Wildcats  face off against  the Tigers at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Weslaco East's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7  runs per game  this season, so Mercedes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they will take on Palmview at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
