The South Side Rams will square off against the Burgettstown Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Side will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
South Side barely beat Our Lady of the Sacred Heart the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Chargers on Tuesday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Ryan Shaw made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cole McCoy was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Corfield, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
South Side kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of the Sacred Heart only managed seven.
Burgettstown couldn't beat Bentworth on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 9-8.
Like South Side, Burgettstown also got a great game from a two-way player: Jayden Roach. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Roach was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Matthew Bredel and Bryce Speer stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bredel went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Speer went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Colton County, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Burgettstown's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for South Side, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Burgettstown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Side has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Burgettstown, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain South Side's hitters?
