Baseball Recap: Bensalem Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bensalem, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Council Rock South Golden Hawks by a score of 6-3 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Fighting Owls: when they faced off against the Golden Hawks last Tuesday, they had to take a 7-2 loss.

Hayden Sorrensen looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Logan Savage was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Joey Doc, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

The victory got Bensalem back to even at 3-3. As for Council Rock South, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bensalem will square off against Lower Moreland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Council Rock South, they will challenge Pennsbury at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Hawks 3.9, the Falcons 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
