While Greenhills's win against Cranbrook Kingswood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gryphons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Cranes on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Gryphons sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Talen Pilz made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Pilz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Fran Love, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Greenhills' win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Greenhills will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Renaissance at 5:00 p.m. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, they will venture away from home to square off against Lutheran North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Cranes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
