Baseball Game Preview: Dawson Eagles vs. Clear Lake Falcons

For the second straight game, Dawson will face off against Clear Lake. The Eagles will take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Dawson 3.3, Clear Lake 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Dawson heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Clear Lake by a score of 3-1.

Bennett Schnee was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Maddox Botas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

The win was the seventh in a row for Clear Lake, bringing their record up to 24-10-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Dawson, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.
