Basketball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. Weddington Warriors

The Olympic Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Weddington Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Weddington took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Olympic, who comes in off a win.

Olympic is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since December 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on A.L. Brown with a sharp 37-17 win.

Olympic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nae Wannamaker, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaya James, who put up six points along with 15 rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Weddington's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a blow against Butler, falling 83-53. The Warriors were down 62-42 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Olympic now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Weddington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
