Baseball Recap: East Allegheny Comes Up Short

East Allegheny extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-13 in the process. They came up short against the Burrell Bucs, falling 13-1. If the Wild Cats were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Bucs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Burrell, their win bumped their record up to 11-5. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season.

For Burrell's part, the team relied heavily on Gino Giannetti, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Giannetti a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stephen Hasson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Coming up, East Allegheny will challenge Shady Side Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burrell, they will face off against Deer Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
