Shields Valley won the last time they faced Gardiner and things went their way on Friday too. The Shields Valley Rebels were the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over the Gardiner Bruins. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Bruins are ranked 129th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shields Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for Gardiner, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
