Saline proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 34) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 victory over the Quitman Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since December 10, 2024.

Saline pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 58.3 points this season. As for Quitman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Saline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-24 defeat against Choudrant on the 8th. As for Quitman, they have also already played their next game, a 52-19 victory against Gibsland-Coleman on the 8th.
