Football Recap: Northeast Metro RVT Piles Up the Points Against Upper Cape Cod RVT

With a playoff win on the line, Northeast Metro RVT rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 51-6 victory over the Upper Cape Cod RVT Rams. That looming 51-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Ryan Beede was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 100 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucas De Oliveira, who gained 94 total yards and a touchdown.

Northeast Metro RVT's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.8 points over those games. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Northeast Metro RVT and Upper Cape Cod RVT are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Knights will challenge Blue Hills RVT on Friday. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, after both having extra time off, they and Cape Cod RVT will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
