Normandy won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Friday too. The Normandy Invaders snuck past the Lakewood Rangers with a 46-41 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Invaders who have now won five games in a row.

Leading Normandy to victory were Keilei Anderson and Lindsay Meriwether. Anderson posted 14 points, while Meriwether went 5 for 11 on her way to 11 points. Meriwether has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sofia Szymczak, who scored six points.

Normandy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Normandy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-39 defeat against Westlake on the 3rd. As for Lakewood, they will challenge Rocky River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocky River will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lakewood surely won't give up without a fight.
