Soccer Recap: Hanford Comes Up Short

Hanford's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Chiawana Riverhawks by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Hanford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Chiawana are ranked 13th).

Hanford has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Chiawana, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanford will venture away from home to square off against Kamiakin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chiawana, they will head out to take on Camas at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
