Baseball Recap: Weaver Takes a Loss

Weaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-7 to the Cedar Bluff Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 7-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Carson Campbell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

Weaver's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Cedar Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Weaver Bearcats challenge Randolph County Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Bluff, they will square off against Geraldine at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
