Baseball Recap: Charles Henderson Takes a Loss

If Charles Henderson was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Luverne on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Charles Henderson Trojans came up short against the Prattville Christian Academy Panthers on Saturday, falling 13-5. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Cooper Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Cole Pugh also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Charles Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Prattville Christian Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charles Henderson will face off against Geneva at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charles Henderson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Prattville Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
