St. John Paul II took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mashpee Falcons with a sharp 25-10 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

St. John Paul II got a massive performance out of Kiara Miller, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Elle Kowal was another key player, scoring six runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5.

Looking ahead, St. John Paul II will take on Martha's Vineyard Regional at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mashpee, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wareham at 4:00 p.m.
