Cranston East hadn't done well against Mt. Hope recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Thunderbolts put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 15-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbolts, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Lexi Montalban made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off 12 hits (and not a single walk).
