Recap: Dumas Demons vs. Stanton Buffaloes

The Dumas Demons entered their tilt with the Stanton Buffaloes with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Dumas took down Stanton 55-40 on Thursday. Dumas' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Javion Thompson, who scored 10 points. Bret Davis was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.

Dumas pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Stanton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Dumas will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Colorado at 12:00 p.m. on December 8th. Colorado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1346th, while Dumas is ranked 234th). Stanton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ozona at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Ozona has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
