Volleyball Recap: Bartlett Starts off Right with Win over Brighton

Bartlett had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Brighton Cardinals by a score of 3-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Bartlett was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 16-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Maci Renfroe paced Bartlett's offense, picking up eight kills. Renfroe got some help from Emerson Berkes and her 29 assists. Berkes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Brighton lost, don't look at Kaitlyn Kikawa. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and three assists.

Bartlett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against St. Mary's Episcopal on the 21st. As for Brighton, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lausanne Collegiate on the 21st.
