Basketball Recap: Mount St. Mary Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Mount St. Mary Rockets were beaten by the Newcastle Racers 56-27. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Racers are ranked 30th).

Mount St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Newcastle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Mount St. Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newcastle, they will face off against Blanchard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blanchard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
