Soccer Game Preview: St. Clairsville vs. Maysville

The St. Clairsville Red Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Maysville Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Clairsville will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Maysville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if St. Clairsville's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when St. Clairsville really gets things going. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Cambridge. St. Clairsville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Cambridge with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Parker Galloway (4), Lucas Causey, and Mavrik Malin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maysville). They put the hurt on West Holmes with a sharp 13-2 win on Thursday. With that victory, Maysville brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.

St. Clairsville's win bumped their record up to 15-1-1. As for Maysville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.

St. Clairsville skirted past Maysville 4-3 in their previous meeting back in August. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
