Lafayette faced New Hope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Commodores walked away with a 9-4 win over the Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Commodores sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Mabry Eason made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Zoie Woolfolk was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Lewis, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for New Hope, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 17-7 record.

Lafayette will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
