Recap: Astoria Fishermen vs. Scappoose Indians
The Astoria Fishermen's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They secured a 73-69 W over Scappoose. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Colton Sprenger and Elijah Greenan Biggs certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Sprenger scored 14 points along with two steals, while Greenan Biggs scored 16 points. Drew Butler was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Astoria's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Scappoose, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Astoria will head out on the road to take on Scappoose at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Scappoose, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Seaside at 5:30 p.m. Seaside is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
