Softball Recap: Elton Takes a Loss

Elton couldn't beat Basile on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Indians lost 19-5 to the Bearcats. The Indians have struggled against the Bearcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Dynver Gradney was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Elton's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Basile, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Elton will face off against North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hurricanes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.64 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Basile, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Grand Lake at 4:00 p.m.
