With a playoff win on the line, Council Grove rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Herington Railroaders get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Braves have won 16 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Council Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Herington, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Looking ahead, Council Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Osage City at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Herington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
