The Southwestern Randolph Cougars and the Chatham Charter Knights will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Southwestern Randolph is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Williams on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Southwestern Randolph took a blow against Williams, falling 72-33. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Chatham Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-33 defeat at the hands of Asheboro. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Blue Comets are ranked 84th).

Southwestern Randolph has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Chatham Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
