Softball Recap: Champion Golden Flashes vs. Liberty Leopards
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Champion). They never let the Liberty Leopards get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. The Golden Flashes haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Gabrielle Gradishar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Champion got a massive performance out of Adalyn McIntosh, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Sam Strock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
