Soccer Recap: Port Allegany Takes a Loss

Port Allegany came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to the Elk County Catholic Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Elk County Catholic this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in September.

Port Allegany has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 2-14-1 record this season. As for Elk County Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Port Allegany will venture away from home to face off against Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elk County Catholic, they will take on Coudersport at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elk County Catholic will be up against Coudersport's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.85 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
