Baseball Game Preview: Cass Tech Technicians vs. Fordson Tractors

The Cass Tech Technicians will head out to take on the Fordson Tractors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cass Tech's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Fordson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cass Tech is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since April 22nd on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Ecorse 5-3.

Kyle Terry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chris Hooper, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Fordson had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over Crestwood on Thursday. Considering the Tractors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Fordson's record is now 4-11. As for Cass Tech, they pushed their record up to 41-11-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
