Baseball Recap: Caldwell Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Caldwell is still undefeated this season after their contest against Fort Frye on Tuesday, but Fort Frye came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Redskins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cadets, sneaking past 9-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 11, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Caldwell's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Fort Frye, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Caldwell will venture away from home to challenge Shenandoah at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Redskins are facing the Zeps at the right time seeing as the Zeps are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Fort Frye, they will be playing at home against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Cadets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
