Softball Recap: Melissa Cardinals vs. Kingwood Park Panthers

Melissa had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Kingwood Park Panthers 7-6. Winning may never get old, but Melissa sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Eloisa Maes tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Caigan Crabtree was incredible, going 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Hutton(Lulu) Adrian was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run.
