Basketball Recap: Greenville Tech Charter Comes Up Short

Greenville Tech Charter lost against Blacksburg back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greenville Tech Charter Warriors came up short against the Blacksburg Wildcats, falling 60-36. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Blacksburg got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Cobb out in front who posted 12 points and five rebounds. Cobb continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Millieyon Gavin, who had seven points and seven rebounds.

Greenville Tech Charter has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Blacksburg, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville Tech Charter will take on Carolina Academy in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Greenville Tech Charter is facing Carolina Academy at the right time seeing as Carolina Academy is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Blacksburg and Chesnee will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesnee will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Blacksburg surely won't give up without a fight.
