Softball Recap: Grenada Comes Up Short

Grenada has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the South Panola Tigers, falling 15-0. It was the first time this season that the Chargers let down their fans at home.

Grenada's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for South Panola, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grenada will venture away from home to take on Saltillo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.82 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Panola, they will head out to square off against Lake Cormorant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
