Soccer Recap: Chippewa Takes a Loss

Chippewa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwestern Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Chippewa of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Chippewa now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Northwestern, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chippewa is set to take on their familiar foe Hillsdale at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Northwestern will square off against rival Smithville at 1:00 p.m. on the 13th.
