Basketball Game Preview: Sunset Knights vs. Varela Vipers

Meanwhile, Varela got the win against Hialeah-Miami Lakes on Tuesday by a conclusive 61-35. The Vipers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Sunset is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Varela, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Sunset couldn't quite finish off Varela when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 53-51. Can Sunset avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
