Basketball Recap: Holmdel Takes a Loss

Holmdel and Rumson-Fair Haven squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Holmdel had to settle for second. They fell to the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs 54-48. The Hornets have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Holmdel's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Holmdel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they will take on Manasquan on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
