After losing to McFarland the last time they met, Edgewood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Crusaders were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Spartans on Friday. Considering the Crusaders have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 10-3-1. As for McFarland, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.

Edgewood and McFarland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Crusaders will challenge Stoughton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (45 vs. 234). Meanwhile, McFarland (ranked 33rd) will meet Fort Atkinson (ranked 165th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
