Carlin scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 26-25 to the Liberty Baptist Academy Knights. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Railroaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joey Drown, who posted six points.

Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Carlin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McDermitt at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 38-9 defeat against Lund on the 13th.
