Volleyball Recap: North Mecklenburg Takes a Loss

North Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the A.L. Brown Wonders.

While North Mecklenburg had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-18.

Monta Moser paced North Mecklenburg's offense, picking up seven kills. Moser got some help from Ryan Cook and his ten assists.

Kevin Barrera-Perez was the offensive standout of the match as he had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave him a new career-high. Antonio Vazquez also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

North Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for A.L. Brown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

North Mecklenburg has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Woodlawn on the 8th. As for A.L. Brown, they will head out to square off against Hough at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
