Softball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland was the 7-2 winner over Franklin when they last played one another on April 11th, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors lost 10-4 to the Quakers on Tuesday.

Vivian Schroedel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 6-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland will face off against Ida B. Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Guardians at the right time seeing as the Guardians are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they will take on Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Quakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roughriders have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
