Basketball Recap: Beren Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Emery/Weiner, Beren Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 58-47 win over the School of the Woods Wildcats.

Despite the loss, School of the Woods still got an impressive performance from Adam Zagaar, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and five steals. Zagaar has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Lukka Monteagudo was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory got Beren Academy back to even at 1-1. As for School of the Woods, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Beren Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-31 loss against Emery/Weiner on the 2nd. As for School of the Woods, they will host Houston Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
