Recap: Trinity School of Texas Titans vs. Heritage Christian Eagles
Sadly, the Trinity School of Texas Titans are still looking for their first win of the season after seven contests. They were dealt a 54-12 defeat at the hands of Heritage Christian on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trinity School of Texas of the 44-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Monday.
Heritage Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deanna Montgomery, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. Montgomery has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Orchard, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Trinity School of Texas dropped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heritage Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Trinity School of Texas will head out on the road to face off against First Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity School of Texas comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Heritage Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Poetry Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Heritage Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
