Basketball Game Preview: Woodlawn vs. Brooks Eagles

Woodlawn will challenge the Brooks Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodlawn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Brooks likes a good challenge.

Woodlawn is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Julian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 76-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.

Meanwhile, Brooks waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Mightymen by a score of 56-48.

Woodlawn better focus on containing Elijah Curl and Bryce Hayes as the pair were huge in Brooks' win. Curl made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points and three blocks, while Hayes went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points. That's the most blocks Curl has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Macauri Sias, who posted ten points.

Woodlawn's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Brooks, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
