Basketball Game Preview: Hiawatha Red Hawks vs. Royal Valley Panthers

Hiawatha is 2-8 against Royal Valley since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hiawatha Red Hawks will head out to take on the Royal Valley Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hiawatha lost 63-38 to Sabetha on Monday.

Meanwhile, Royal Valley's game on Friday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 61-48 to Silver Lake. The Panthers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Royal Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-2. As for Hiawatha, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Hiawatha came up short against Royal Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 55-51. Can Hiawatha avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
