Basketball Game Preview: University Titans vs. Southridge Suns

The University Titans will head out to take on the Southridge Suns at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southridge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on University, who comes in off a win.

University will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Lewis & Clark, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. University walked away with a 67-59 win over Lewis & Clark on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Southridge played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 57-36 to Kamiakin. While losing is never fun, the Suns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Braves are ranked 30th).

Southridge has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for University, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

University came out on top in a nail-biter against Southridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, sneaking past 50-48. Does University have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
