Softball Preview: New London Wildcats vs. Loudonville Redbirds
The New London Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Loudonville Redbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. New London will be strutting in after a victory while Loudonville will be coming in after a defeat.
New London took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Mapleton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mounties 7-6.
Addison Yetter spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

Meanwhile, Loudonville came up short against Centerburg on Wednesday and fell 9-4.
Helaina Gray made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Jocelyn Kegley was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
New London's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Loudonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
