Football Recap: Arete Prep CHARGERS vs. Chandler Prep Titans

Arete Prep extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They had to suffer through a 40-7 loss at the hands of the Chandler Prep Titans. The CHARGERS were not able to make up for their loss to the Titans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Even if they lost, Arete Prep's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. Nicholas Schade refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Chandler Prep's side was Schade, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made eight total tackles.

As for Chandler Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Considering they have won six contests by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kody Dodson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 60 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, while also throwing for 247 yards and one TD while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August. Chandler Prep's leading receiver Aaron Crawford was Dodson's top target yet again, picking up 112 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Arete Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chandler Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Pima at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Roughriders' defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so the Titans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
