Volleyball Recap: Fossil Ridge SaberCats vs. Windsor Wizards

Fossil Ridge can attribute much of their success to Trinity Burchett, who had 11 digs and three aces. Burchett is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
Despite the defeat, Windsor saw an underclassman step up: Avery Smiley had 29 digs and two aces. Those 29 digs set a new season-high mark for Smiley.
Fossil Ridge's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. As for Windsor, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fossil Ridge is on the road again on Tuesday to play Poudre at 6:00 p.m. Fossil Ridge is facing Poudre at the right time seeing as Poudre is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Windsor, they will challenge University at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. University will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Windsor surely won't give up without a fight.
