Volleyball Recap: Columbus Catholic Comes Up Short

Columbus Catholic lost against Stanley-Boyd back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dons fell just short of the Orioles by a score of 2-1.

Columbus Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Stanley-Boyd found their leader in sophomore Kendall Sikora, who had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Sikora.

Columbus Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Stanley-Boyd, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Columbus Catholic will take on Baldwin-Woodville at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Stanley-Boyd, they will face off against Somerset on Friday.
