If Estero heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Bonita Springs took over last week. The Bullsharks snuck past Palmetto Ridge with a 53-49 win on Tuesday. While the Bullsharks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Makenzie Lehigh produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 37 points and nine rebounds. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Weick, who posted eight points and six boards.
Meanwhile, Estero made easy work of Fort Myers two weeks ago and carried off a 48-25 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won four in a row.
Bonita Springs better focus on containing Amiya Lewis and London Woods as the pair were huge in Estero's win. Lewis shot 54% from the field en route to 22 points and eight rebounds, while Woods went 7-for-15 to rack up 17 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Lewis a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (60%). Allison Norris was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.
Estero was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Myers only posted three.
Bonita Springs' record now sits at 4-0. As for Estero, their record is now 3-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bonita Springs has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Estero struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bonita Springs took a serious blow against Estero in their previous matchup back in January, falling 54-23. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lewis, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 24 points and seven boards. Now that the Bullsharks know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
